Waitlist privacy notice
Who we are
The waitlist is run by Mates Rates Pty Ltd, trading as Unsupervised ("we"), based in Australia. Contact: social@unsupervisedgames.com.
What we collect and why
- Your email address, to confirm your signup and send Doppel City launch news you asked for. The box you tick says: “I'm 13 or older and want Doppel City launch news from Unsupervised.”
- Your consent record: when you agreed, which version of this wording, and that you confirmed you are 13 or older.
- Optional: the Doppel name you claim (so we can hold it for you at launch) and whether you use iPhone or Android (so we know when to email you).
- How you found us: a source tag such as "tiktok" and campaign tags from the link you used, and which friend's invite link brought you, so we can count invites towards rewards.
- A scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, only to stop floods of fake signups. We never store the address itself.
We don't sell your data, we don't use it for advertising profiles and we don't create a game account from it. The site uses no advertising cookies; page visits are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies.
Age
The waitlist is for people aged 13 and over. If you are under 13, please don't sign up. If we learn that someone under 13 has signed up, we delete their details.
Who processes it for us
- Vercel: website hosting.
- Neon: the database that stores the waitlist.
- Resend: sends the confirmation and launch emails.
- Cloudflare: Turnstile bot protection on the form, and domain services.
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries, under their own data-protection terms.
How long we keep it
- If you don't confirm your email within 7 days, we delete your signup automatically.
- Confirmed signups are kept until you unsubscribe, or 12 months after our last email to you that you didn't engage with.
- Unsubscribing deletes your signup, including your held name and badge number.
Your choices
Every email has an unsubscribe link that works without logging in. To see, correct or delete your data, email social@unsupervisedgames.com and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or your local data-protection authority.
Rewards and names
Founding Resident badges, held Doppel names and invite rewards are free, have no cash value and will be honoured in the game at launch. Names must follow our community rules; we may release names that break them.
